My parents are going home to Oroquieta this December for my grandmother’s first death anniversary. Aside from visiting my Lola Juana’s grave, they’ll be talking to our relatives about what my lola left behind. It’s not exactly a San Diego Real Estate but I just find it a bit disconcerting how a death in the family can split up the things a person has built his whole life.

I’d love it if I could come home to Oroquieta with my parents but I’m pretty sure I’d be really busy with work and school. I’m just glad E and I were able to visit Lola Juana before she went away. Even though we had a language gap between us, she was as doting and caring as any grandma could be.
